Gina Pedro
Gina was born in Dahlonega, GA and graduated with her B.S. in chemistry (cum laude, Distinguished Honors) with a concentration in chemical physics from the University of North Georgia in 2022. Her undergraduate honors thesis, titled “Investigation of Nickel (II) N-Heterocyclic Carbene Complex Synthesis via Transmetalation” was overseen by Dr. Ryan Meier. In her free time, she loves to read, crochet, bake, and spend time with her husband, Diego, and their guinea pig, Edward.
Gina is a Ph.D. Candidate in the Veige group.
